Project Summary
The indoor navigation project is an android app-based navigation system intended for the visually impaired, to help them navigate through the Petrie Science building at York University. The objective of this project is to develop a low-cost smartphone application that makes use of the Wi-Fi access points in the building to locate the user’s position. Voice recognition technology together with a path finding algorithm, guides the user to the desired location. The key objectives can be summarized as follows:

Obtain blueprint/paper map of the Petrie Science building
